

I remember the time when I was in the middle of a technical session meeting with one of my bosses and a business analyst, when my role was to extract data based on the business analyst's request. I kept writing, and writing, deeply focused on my queries, when I suddenly heard my boss say:
You really like to write a lot…and then he laughed pretty hard.
When I started learning SQL I thought that writing and rewriting the SQL syntax would help me memorize the syntax, but it wasn’t the case. Even after all my years working with SQL I still find myself googling the syntax of a VIEW😁.
A small piece of advice: Don’t force anything into your brain, SQL will stick naturally the more you use it.
Sometimes, I feel like even SQL gets tired of us repeating the same queries over and over again. That’s probably why the two IBM scientists who developed SQL came up with smart ways to save our sanity — and our fingers.
